Since its inception in 1998, the Houston Teachers Institute, a partnership between the University of Houston and Houston Independent School District, has relied on the generous support of outside benefactors for the continuation of its program. In October 2004, Washington Mutual’s Corporate Giving Manager, Tracy Baskin, announced that the financial institution would be granting $35,000 to help support HTI’s 2005 seminars. This would amount to a total of $55,000 of support for UH and HTI in two years.
Over the past nine years, the Houston Teachers Institute has benefitted from the generosity of the follow patrons. HTI wishes to acknowledge the help and assistance these organizations have provided. Without their generous support, HTI could not go forward with its important work.
